Chief Medical Officer Mokokchung, Dr. Kibangkumba, inaugurated Sub-Centre at Satsu Village, Mokokchung, on October 12 at Community Hall, Satsu Village.
A press release by District Programme Management Unit, NRHM Mokokchung, informed that Dr. Kibangkumbawhile while delivering his speech, expressed gratitude to advisor, Information and Public Relations and Soil & Water Conservation, Imkong L Imchen, for his effort that paved the way for the formation of Satsu village and construction of the new Sub-Centre building in the village. He requested the Village Council, Village Health Committee members and community to actively participate and support the Sub-Centre and its staff, so that timely maintenance and up-gradation could be made possible in the near future.
He also reminded the community on the importance of on time immunization, timely Ante Natal Care for pregnant women and measures to prevent diseases/illnesses, stating that prevention was always better than cure.
The release further informed that chairman, Satsu Village Council presented brief history on the recognition of the village in 2014 and proposal of Sub-Centre in 2018 and its eventual constitution of construction committee and its inauguration. He expressed gratitude to the stakeholders responsible for the success.
