The All Nagaland Private school’s Association (ANPSA) Wokha Unit organized its first Inter School Futsal Championship from October 26 to 28 at ‘Legacy Futsal Arena’ Etsütchükha.
In an exciting final, the young lass from Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (DBHSS) were crowned champion when they prevailed over spirited Christian Model High School (CMHS) by 2 goal to 1.
In the one-sided boys’ finals, high flying Springdale School thrashed Regimental School DEF Wokha 6-1 to claim the champions’ title.
The spectators were thoroughly entertained by an exciting exhibition match played between President’s 5 and rest of ANPSA, where the later prevailed 2-1.
All cash awards and running trophies were sponsored by R.Mhonroni Murry, proprietor and headmistress, Perennial School Wokha. The closing program was concluded with a prayer of blessing by Mhonyamo Lotha, Chaplian Fernbrook School Wokha.
Meanwhile, the Association, through its General Secretary Miss Rinton Lohe has informed all member schools that the annual head of Institution picnic –cum- annual general body meeting (AGBM) will be held on October 30 at Chukidong Area Baptist Mission School, Wokha. In this regard, all member schools as practicing traditions will remain close on October 30.
