Dimapur, Peren District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) and Bhandari Sub Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPB) was held on November 7-8 at the Conference Halls of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dimapur and Peren Offices, and ADC Bhandari Office respectively.
According to a DIPR report, Dimapur DPDB meeting was held on November 7 under the chairmanship of advisor, Labour, Employment & Skill Development, Excise and chairman Dimapur DPDB, Moatoshi Longkumer.
At the meeting, DC Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi chang requested all members to extend cooperation to the district administration for the overall development of the district.
He also reviewed the recurring flood problem in Dimapur and highlighted the various measures initiated to solve the problem. He informed the board that show cause notices have been issued to the encroachers identified during a survey conducted by the authorities.
Longkumer expressed happiness at the progress made so far and was optimistic that the due process would be completed before the winter months.
During the meeting the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dimapur gave an overview of the Dengue situation in Dimapur and informed the house about the procurement and arrival of critical machines needed to tackle the disease.
Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) administrator highlighted the various aspects regarding the installation of CCTVs in Dimapur city. The board also deliberated on the removal of obsolete cables and wires in order to beautify the city.
Peren: Peren DPDB held under the chairmanship of DC and vice chairman DPDB Peren, Vineet Kumar on November 7 deliberated and approved construction of waiting shed at Ngaulong village under Tening Sub-Division and the proposal for construction of Patient’s Guest House at District Hospital, Peren.
ADC Peren, Keyiranding Hegui, who is also the convener of the inter departmental sports meet 2023, highlighted the progress of the committee. Detailed PowerPoint presentations on departmental activities were given by PWD (R&B) and Water Resources Department respectively.
Bhandari: Bhandari SDPB was held on November 8 at under the chairmanship of MLA and chairman SDPB Bhandari, Achumbemo Kikon.
According to a DIPR report, Kikon while welcoming the members requested them to extend full cooperation and urged them to be sincere, dedicated, and diligent in their assigned duties and responsibilities.
In the meeting the members deliberated and agreed to recommend to the government for inclusion of three villages under Bhandari administrative jurisdiction and also for construction of SDPB meeting hall.
