In view of the upcoming Hornbill Festival, an inter departmental coordination meeting on road safety was held on November 15 at the Mini Conference Hall Police Headquarter Kohima.
The meeting was attended by Rupin Sharma, DGP Nagaland along with Limasunep Jamir. Commissioner of Police Dimapur, DCP Chumoukedima, SP Kohima and representatives from various departments including Commissioner Nagaland, Transport Commissioner, DC Dimapur, Chumoukedima, Kohima and NHIDCL.
PRO of SCRB, PHQ Kohima informed that the agenda of the meeting was to discuss on various aspects related to road safety and to ensure that any accident or mishaps were prevented in view of the upcoming festive season-Statehood Day celebration and Hornbill Festival 2023 and to have better inter departmental coordination.
The meeting was chaired by Sandeep M. Tamgadge, ADGP (L&O). D. Keretsü, member, National Road Safety Council, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India attended the meeting as a special invitee. A total of 14 senior officers from various departments attended the meeting.
