Deputy chief minister Y. Patton has greeted the Garo community on the occasion of Wangala festival.
Patton said the festival is celebrated in honor of the good harvest bestowed by the creator. “This is a time for revelry, where people soak themselves in dances and songs to the beating of drums,” he said while extending heartiest greeting on behalf of the state BJP legislators. He hoped that the festival is celebrated in merry making.
