Naga People’s Front (NPF) celebrated advent Christmas at the party central office Kohima with pomp and gaiety on December 7. In a press release, NPF through its press bureau informed that pastor UPCI Kohima, Samson Thurr, while sharing the celebration message, said that people celebrate Christmas as a mark of the birth of Jesus Christ, but the real joy in celebrating comes only when one accepts him as the personal saviour.

“The occasion marks the birth of Jesus Christ to save the sinner and gives salvation, and it is Jesus alone who can give us salvation. Therefore, it was a great joy and good news for the entire sinner that Jesus was born to save us, and the birth of Jesus Christ is not a fairy tale but a true story for humankind, so the joy of his birth is not for a season but for the rest of our lives”, he added.

Exhorting the gathering, the leader of NPF legislature party, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, emphasized that true love comes through the birth of Jesus Christ which could conquer any kind of hatred.

He also stressed on the need to spread the word of love not only during the Christmas season but throughout the life and called upon the gathering to have the true spirit of forgiveness and forgetting and carry forward the party to a greater height.
He further added that they need a true spirit of love amongst one another with unity and strengthened the party in the days to come.
