The Yajang C Village unit of the JDU, under Alongtaki assembly constituency, led by its unit president Temjentoshi Jamir, general secretary Kimasungba Ozukum and treasurer Imtionen Aier joined along with 123 households, with voters numbering about 650 resigend from JD(U) and joined the Congress party enmass under the leadership of NPCC president S Supongmeren Jamir. In a press note, NPCC communications department said that the decision was made during a general meeting held on December 11, 2023.
