The second and final phase of registration of PM vishwakarma, a central scheme to support traditional artisans and crafts in rural and urban areas was held at Mokokchung. The campaign was led by PM vishwakarma Mokokchung district co-convener Rongsenyanger.
It may be noted that PM vishwakarma has a financial outlay of Rs 13,000 crore and 18 traditional trades will be covered in the first phase where artisans and craftspeople will be provided recognition with PM vishwakarma certificates and ID card. The PM Vishwakarma aims to provide credit support upto Rs 1 lakhs (1st tranche) and Rs 2 lakhs (2nd tranche) with a concessional interest rate of 5%.
The scheme will provide skill upgradation, toolkit incentive and incentive for digital transactions and marketing support.
