In line with Zuheshe village in Niuland district, identified as one among the few villages as a potential village for sesame production, Indian Council of Agricultural Research-All India Coordinated Research Project (ICAR- AICRP) Sesame, Nagaland University: School of Agricultural Sciences & Rural Development (NU: SASRD) organised farmers training and input distribution programme on February 23 at Zuheshe Village.

ing, PI of the project, by Dr. A. P. Singh delivered the introductory remark and highlighted the objective of AICRP-Sesame at NU: SAS.
Singh also highlighted the importance of oil seeds for human health and the need of oil seed cultivation in Nagaland, particularly in Niuland district. Former head of the department of agronomy, professor L. Tongpang Longkumer gave a presentation on the packaging and practices of sesame cultivation. Altogether, 50 farmers attended the day-long training programme.
