Angami Krotho Bengaluru (AKB) celebrated Sekrenyi festival on February 24 at the Students Christian Movement of India Campus. A press release by AKB informed that in her address, special guest of the festival, headmistress of Samsidh International School, Vidyaranyapura Bangalore, Nouneseno Punyü, underscored the significance of Sekrenyi festival celebrations, emphasising the importance of cultural preservation and the role of language in fostering unity among communities.
She advocated for continuous learning and preservation of one’s mother tongue in today’s globalized era. Punyü also extended warm felicitations to the AKB for their commendable achievements and applauded their efforts in establishing a constitution, recognizing its pivotal role.
Earlier, the celebration commenced with a traditional song performed by SAIACS students, followed by engaging traditional games. The event also featured the inauguration of AKB by Er. Kevilhoubei Yiese.
