The three-day golden jubilee celebration of Eastern Bible College (EBC) concluded here Sunday with a devotional service at the Buntain Chapel Hall of the college. Delivering a message from the book of Acts, EBC’s former faculty member, Rev. Dr Anil V Satralkar, discussed the three “P” principles – “Partnership”, “Pacing”, and “Pressed on”. He said those three principles together encompass important aspects of achieving success and overcoming obstacles in various aspects of life, whether personal or professional.
Rev. Satralkar said these principles emphasised the value of collaboration, strategic timing, and resilience in pursuing goals and navigating challenges. The speaker also highlighted the importance of reflecting on Christ’s teachings and incorporating them into one’s behaviour, attitude, and ministry, ultimately aiming to restore a Christ-like ministry. He underscored the significance of retelling the story of Jesus and continuing to follow the teachings laid out in the book of Acts.
Other highlights of the service included the launching of BA and MA programs in collaboration with Millennium International University, USA and the release of jubilee magazine by EBC principal, Rev. Dr TN Lotha Jr. The service began with an invocation prayer by Chang Baptist Church Dimapur Pastor Dr Wongto Chingmak, responsive reading by Pongidong Baptist Church associate Pastor Khonzan Humtsoe, and a special song by the jubilee choir and Gospel Centre Church School.
A special prayer was also said for the departed members of the college.
Earlier, the jubilee monolith was unveiled by EBC principal and dedicated by EBC president, N Ngullie, while the jubilee building was dedicated by EBC’s former faculty member, Reverend Dr E Nrio Ezung.
