Ambassador of Japan to India, Hiroshi Suzuki arrived Nagaland on Tuesday on a two-day visit. According to DIPR, the Ambassador along with officials from Japan reached Kohima late evening on May 7. Upon arrival, chief minister Nagaland Neiphiu Rio and his lady wife, Kaisa Rio welcomed the Ambassador and his entourage to the CM Residential Complex, Kohima.
A cultural programme was organised in honour of the Ambassador and his team of officials.
The cultural programme was organised by Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) where artists from across the State participated.
Nagaland chief secretary J. Alam chaired the programme which was also attended by ministers, advisors, MLAs, AHoDs and HoDs. On May 8, the Ambassador will take part in the soft inauguration of the Kohima Peace Memorial and Eco Park, Kohima. This will include the laying of the foundation stone and a ceremonial plantation at 8 a.m.
Later in the day, the Ambassador and other Japanese delegates will visit the Kohima Cathedral and the World War II Museum at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
