Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (P&AR) has informed that on public interest, the Urban Development Department has re-designated as the Nodal Department for all the matters relating to the implementation of The Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act, 2013 including all the activities relating to the Safai Karamcharis/Sanitary & Insanitary Workers.
