NSCN/GPRN (K) Niki led has condoled the untimely demise of Lieutenant (posthumous) Shetoi Yeptho son of Zhevukhu Yeptho of Surumi village under Sumi Region on July 2, in Myanmar occupied Naga Lands.
In a condolence message, NSCN/GPRN (K) through its MIP said Shetoi Yeptho was serving under the Eastern Command, served the Naga Nation with dedication, sincerity and loyalty.
NSCN/GPRN acknowledged the family for giving Naga nation a great son and patriot and also heartfelt condolences to the family of the departed soul.
In recognition of the service rendered towards the Naga Nation, the 2nd Lieutenant Shetoi Yeptho, bearing Army No-21083, has been posthumously bestowed the rank of Lieutenant.
WSH lauds KTC, Kingpu and Pangsha villagers
Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has expressed gratitude for the extraordinary solidarity and kindness shown by Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC), Kingpu and Pangsha villagers in honoring late Lieutenant (posthumous) Shetoi Yeptho of NSCN/GPRN (K) Niki led, of Surumi Village.
A press release by WSH through its media cell said that their selfless acts of wrapping the body in Khiamniungan shawl, carrying it across the border on foot and ensuring its safe passage was a testament to the unwavering spirit of Naga brotherhood and unity.
WSH said that their support has brought immense comfort to the grieving family and Sumi community, and expressed its indebtedness to their kindness. The Hoho further added that their unwavering support had strengthened its resolve, reinforced tribal bonds, and inspired to continue working together towards brighter future. WSH further called to stand together united in the pursuit of peace, understanding, and prosperity for all.
