My Playland, a space for children in the ground floor of Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima, was inaugurated by director, TaFMA, Dr Hovithal Sothu, during a programme, Saturday. In his speech, Dr Sothu said the space would benefit the public especially children and parents since there was no place for children to play in the state’s capital.
He said the play park was something out of the box in a small place like Kohima. Sharing about the person behind the project, Dr Sothu said he had known Avikuo as one his students who had dreamt of something and completed it today which was an achievement.
He requested families and friends to continue to support this initiative. Sharing about the project, Avikuo Tepa, proprietor of My Playland said it was quite challenging however, he along with his friends and well-wishers were able to finish it.
He acknowledged the support of friends, family and people who came forward to help with materials, finances, and those supported through prayers. He added that all the play things at the space was made in Nagaland.
He informed that the space will be open from Monday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will also be open for children’s events as well as a day care. Earlier, the programme was chaired by Kopele Tepa while opening prayer was offered by pastor, Christian Revival Mission Church, Kohima Zhaviu.
