Assam Rifles organized a dual initiative, an awareness program on “No to Plastic” and a community cleanup drive in Thilixu and Doyapur Villages, on October 2.
The awareness program, conducted under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, witnessed participation from 20 village council members and GBs of Thilixu village.
The objective was to educate the community about the environmental impacts and health risks associated with plastic use, as well as to promote sustainable alternatives.
Simultaneously, a community cleanup drive in Doyapur village saw participation from around 50 villagers and 30 Assam Rifles personnel. The initiative aimed to enhance environmental sustainability and foster a sense of communal responsibility.
