Nagaland: KROS College hosts ‘Artistic Gala’ 2024

KROS College, Kohima hosted the two-day event “Artistic Gala” 2024 on September 26 & 27, celebrating creativity and talent from across Kohima. The event was graced by advisor, Department of Prisons, Printing, and Stationery, Er. Kropol Vitsu.


The event featured performances from renowned Naga artistes Ethel Wangha, Keneisenuo Sorhie, Moko Koza, LC Sekhose, and the popular band Polar Lights, creating an unforgettable experience for attendees. Adding elegance to the event, renowned beauty queen Hikali Achumi served as the host for the two-day event.

The Gala showcased the talents of students from various higher secondary schools and colleges in Kohima, who participated in various competitions that left the audience mesmerized.


The solo singing competition witnessed Rosy Kamal of Northfield Kikha taking home the first prize and Nchumbemo Yanthan from Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School securing the runner-up spot.


In the group dance category, Chic Jane from St. Mary’s Hr. Sec School, Kohima emerged as the winner, while Fusion Force from Chandmari Hr. Sec School, Kohima was named runner-up.


The live band competition crowned Cherry on Jupiter from St. Joseph College, Jakhama as the winner, with The Pages from KROS College, Kohima taking the runner-up position.


In addition to these categories, individual awards were also presented to outstanding performers: Best vocalist was bagged by Khungu T (Kohima Science College), best bassist by Lendilong Imsong (St. Joseph College, Jakhama), best lead guitarist by Mhasiletuo Thou (Oriental College, Kohima) and best drummer by Limasunep Tzudir (KROS College, Kohima).
