Dobagaon Eralibill Sumi Students Union (DESSU)’s third Open Volleyball Tournament commenced at Eralibill on October 3, 2024. The opening ceremony of two-day event was graced by Hutokhu Awomi, Class-1 Contractor, as special guest.
Speaking at the programme, the special guest encouraged the players to participate in the tournament by celebrating the value of a true sportsmanship. Awomi maintained that sport was also a platform for a person to learn, strive and succeed in life.
He further encouraged the young players to be disciplined, respect each other’s ability and embrace the essence of sports in one’s life. He urged the student body to be an agent of change and unity in the society.
DESSU through its media cell informed that 14 teams were participating in the tournament, which would culminate on October 4, 2024.
