The senior pastor of Father’s House Church in Chümoukedima has been asked to resign following serious molestation allegations that have also surfaced on social media. In a letter, the church board stated that “…After careful consideration and investigation, it has come to light that he engaged in conduct that does not align with the moral and ethical standards we uphold.”
The board emphasized that the pastor’s resignation was effective immediately, barring him from serving in any capacity or representing the church. They also mentioned that efforts would be made to provide counseling for the pastor’s personal healing and repentance, while extending support to those affected by his actions.
Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police Dimapur, K Sophie, confirmed that the police have launched a preliminary inquiry into the matter. CP said that the police would file a case or even suo moto, once a formal complaint is lodged or if sufficient evidence is established. (Staff Reporter)
