Green Succession of Nagaland State (Green-SONS) has appealed to the Wildlife Wing of the department of Forest, Environment, Wildlife, Ecology, and Climate Change to provide advanced mitigation technologies to address the ongoing human-elephant conflict in the Ralan area under Wokha district.
Green-SONS chairman, Dr.Jess T.Mury reiterated its commitment to wildlife conservation while urging authorities to support affected farmers whose crops have been destroyed.
He emphasized that resolving human-elephant conflicts requires significant efforts from the government, villagers, and NGOs. He therefore called on farming and village communities to avoid direct confrontations with elephants to prevent casualties.
