Chessore Town Students Union (CTSU) has served a five-day ultimatum to three teachers- two science and math, who were transferred to GHS Chessore, to report to the school.
In a press statement, CTSU president, Richard Yimkhiung said that three teachers were transferred by the department but even after 45 days and repeated intimidation by SMC officials, school authorities and student leaders, they have not reported to their duties.
The union said that department has published the classes VIII and IX board examination routine but the students were yet to complete their syllabus because of the absence of teachers. CTSU said that they also appealed to the advisor of School Education and higher authority to take note and initiate necessary stern action.
However, CTSU alleged that government was not taking serious action on the erring teachers, for which they have served the ultimatum and cautioned that necessary action as per the law will be initiated for non-compliance and for which the union will not held any responsibility for untoward circumstances.
