A two-week long, handloom exhibition organised by Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation (NHHDC) Ltd and sponsored by office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles was inaugurated on November 4 in Dimapur.
Prasiele Pienyu, Managing Director of NHHDC Ltd., presided the event. This year’s exhibition showcases the work of 60 artisans and weavers from across Assam, Kashmir, and various districts of Nagaland, displaying a wide array of handloom, khadi, and handicraft products.
The event aims to strengthen domestic and international marketing channels, fostering a cohesive linkage between local crafts and broader markets.
The exhibition provides artisans with valuable marketing opportunities, supporting the preservation of traditional crafts and promoting sustainable livelihoods.
Through initiatives like this, the NHHDC continues to boost the visibility and demand for handcrafted products, empowering local artisans and encouraging cultural exchange.
