The 40th Nagaland Police Duty-cum-Sports Meet continued with league matches for a second day at the Police Complex in Chumoukedima on November 12.
Competitions included football and volleyball matches, along with the preliminary round of the drill competition. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for November 14.
In football, 6 NAP defeated DEF Kohima 3-2, while DEF Tuensang bested CP Dimapur 4-2. DEF Mokokchung kept a clean sheet against 4 NAP with a 2-0 victory. 2 NAP outperformed 7 NAP in a commanding 6-1 win. Additionally, DEF Wokha claimed a 2-0 win over IGP (INT), and 1 NAP narrowly edged out 14 NAP (IR) with a 1-0 scoreline.
Volleyball matches also saw intense play, with CP Dimapur defeating 8 NAP in straight sets (25–13, 25-16). DEF Zunheboto clinched victory over 4 NAP in a close game (25–16, 26-24). 14 NAP (IR) beat DEF Kiphire (25–22, 25-21), and 8 NAP triumphed over DEF Mokokchung (25–19, 25-18). Meanwhile, DEF Peren secured a win against 7 NAP (25–18, 25-22), and DEF Zunheboto came from behind to defeat CP Dimapur in a nail-biting match (12–25, 25–23, 25-23).
In the preliminary round of the drill competition, 5th NAP Battalion, 12th NAP Battalion, and 15th NAP Battalion qualified for the finals.
