Assam Rifles organise medical camp in Wapher village

Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp in Wapher village, by offering essential healthcare services to local residents.

The camp, organized by the unit medical team offered medical check-ups and medication to more than 200 villagers. The medical camp focused on addressing common health issues like respiratory problems, water-borne diseases, and nutritional deficiencies. Senior Medical Officer from AR provided expert care and counseling to the patients.

Assam Rifles also conducted an awareness program for mothers and young children at Pungro Village, Kiphire district on the occasion of World Pneumonia Day. The initiative was aimed at educating the local community on pneumonia prevention, early detection, and treatment.

The awareness session featured lectures by an AR official along with a local government doctor, who discussed key aspects of pneumonia care. The mothers actively participated, asking questions about prevention, symptoms, and treatments, showing strong community interest in improving child health.
