Ang Mai-led NSCN (K) said that it has “unanimously resolved” to adopt and enforce all means under its disposal to completely restrict and stop any ‘illegal border fencing’ in the “so-called Indo-Myanmar Border of 1972” in the entire Naga inhabited areas.
The group through its MIP stated that on December 18, 2024 some “illegal” border survey team from “occupational India” was seen roaming around Longwa—”a village divided right in the middle between India and Myanmar by the 1972 Border.”
The group warned that any repetition of “such criminal act” would not be tolerated as it was against the laws of the land and international laws.
Ang Mai-led NSCN (K) also warned that border survey agencies approaching the “illegal 1972 Indo-Myanmar boundary” would be the prime target including the contractors of any grade or race/affinity from India, Myanmar or foreign agencies. “The anti-human and anti-laws of the land of 1972 that was secretly maneuvererd by Indian and Myanmarese agencies in the dark will not have the second coming,” MIP stated.
Stating that Nagas were divided into India and Myanmar without their consent, the NSCN(GPRN) said that at this juncture it would “not allow even the shadows of such evil to take shape.”
Further, the group warned that hereafter, there would be no second reminder to “this Illegal so-called Indo-Myanmar Boundary.” It warned that threat to Naga unity would be responded with “severe military actions.”
“NSCN(GPRN) will not allow the scorpion to impoison the Naga National Movement under the pretext of the ongoing cease-fire and its parties,” MIP added.
