The 39th session of the Mopong Hongkong Students’ Union Sports Meet cum Literary Week, held from January 8 to 15t, in Mopong Town, concluded with great success. Under the theme “Compete to Excel, Participate to Unite,” the event brought together participants from eight federating units, each showcasing their exceptional skills and sportsmanship.
The week-long event featured an exciting mix of sports and literary competitions, with athletes and artists competing in football, volleyball, Sepaktakraw, table tennis, badminton, athletics, and various literary events, including drawing, haiku, quartet, essay, and handicraft contests. The participants demonstrated teamwork, dedication, and talent across both categories, making the event a true celebration of culture and sportsmanship.
Changnyu Students Union emerged as the overall champion for 2025, capturing the coveted title after several intense and spirited contests.
The highlight of the week was the 3rd Edition of Mr. & Miss MHSU, held on January 13th under the theme “The Epitome of Grace and Power.” The prestigious titles were awarded to Ngangnyei A Konyak, representing Yakshu Students Union, as Mr. MHSU 2025, and Rose A Konyak, representing Changnyu Students Union, as Miss MHSU 2025.
