Born in the small town of Dimapur, Nagaland, life was never about luxury but aboutresilience. In a family of six, with my father as the sole earner and my mother a With limited resources but an abundance of determination, I made it to anengineering college. It wasn’t the most prestigious, but what it lacked in reputation,it made up for in friendships. Among those friendships, I met the person who wouldbecome my greatest blessing – my wife.
Life after college, however, was far from easy. The job market was grim due to therecession, and opportunities were scarce. After spending some time in Kolkatasearching for a breakthrough, I took a leap of faith and moved to Bengaluru with myfriend Raj. That decision changed everything.
Bengaluru wasn’t kind at first. The struggle to find a job lasted six long months. But I refused to give up. Eventually, I got an opportunity in a small company – withoutpay. It wasn’t ideal, but I knew it was a stepping stone. That step led me to a breakthrough in a reputable software company.
Even then, I didn’t stop pushing myself. While working five days a week, I dedicated my weekends to learning Java programming. Those extra hours, that extra effort, made all the difference. Slowly but steadily, I climbed the ladder, eventually landing a role as a Lead Programmer at JPMorgan Chase.
From there, my journey only accelerated. I was promoted to Vice President and later to Executive Director, leading some of the biggest and most complex programs at JPMorgan. The opportunities I received were incredible, but none of this wouldhave been possible without the unwavering support of my wife. She has been mystrength, my guide, and the reason I keep pushing forward.
Through it all, my family and friends have been my biggest motivation. Their belief in me fueled my determination, and their support turned my struggles intotriumphs. From a small town with limited means to leading large-scale programs at a global financial institution, my story isn’t just mine – it’s proof that withdetermination, perseverance, and the right people by your side, no dream is too big.
