Two professional Mixed Martial Artists (MMA) representing The Combat Academy Nagaland showcased their skills at the 16th edition of Matrix Fight Night, held at Siri Fort, New Delhi.
Sarita Rathod, originally from Mumbai, who has been living and training in Nagaland at The Combat Academy for the past three years, emerged victorious in her bout. She secured a hard-fought split decision win against Riya Thapa from Dehradun after an intense and closely contested three-round fight.
Avizo Lanamai, who did his fight camp at Kaizen MMA in Bangalore, also delivered a dominant performance. He defeated Mohsin Shaikh via unanimous decision, showcasing his superior technique and conditioning.
Both fighters’ victories highlight the rising talent coming out of The Combat Academy Nagaland and their dedication to the sport of Mixed Martial Arts.
