The 14th general conference of the Nagaland Baptist Pastor Union (NBPU) was conducted at Peren Town Baptist Church, ZBCC from March 18 to 20, coinciding the conference of ZBCC, Pastor Kangbau organised the Colors of ZBCC at Tepuiki River on March 19.
According to a DIPR report, Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru welcomed the dignitaries and pastors from across Nagaland to Peren district.
Hiazu said that though the district may lack in many amenities, he extended a warm welcome to all the guests and wished them a pleasant stay adding that Peren is a pioneering town for the Zeliang community.
Hiazu Meru expressed his appreciation to the president of Nagaland Baptist Pastor Union and his team of office bearers for their prayers and support during their visit and encouraged the pastors of Nagaland to inspire unity among the Naga brothers and sisters.
President of ZBCC and the Director of Kingdom Leadership, Rev. Dr. Mongzeung Mpom, spoke about pastoral challenges and encouraged the pastors to lead their church members by way of feeding God’s word properly. Beisumpuikam Baptist Church Choir enthralled the gathering with a song titled “Brighten our Land”.
The programme was chaired by president Baptist Pastor’s Fellowship, ZBCC, Heikwetgong Putlang.
