Tsungiki Philimi Doyang Union (TPDU) has informed that the annual community fishing will be held on April 12, 2025 coinciding with the 25th anniversary of Tsungiki Philimi Doyang Union.
Therefore, the union has invited all to take part in the programme and requested all male individuals above 18 years to bring the piscicidal plant root (compulsory) without fail. The pounding of the piscicidal root will take place at Jendong Ezhu/Tsutsuye at 10 am, and participants have been asked to gather at the designated spot by 9:30 am.
The union cautioned that no individuals or groups will be allowed to enter the Doyang jurisdiction after the cutoff time. While women have been advised to refrain from participating in the pounding of the piscicidal plant root.
TPDU has also encouraged all participants to maintain a respectful and peaceful atmosphere throughout the event. Unlawful activities or disruptions of any kind will not be tolerated during the community fishing, and all individuals have been urged to behave in accordance with the Union’s guidelines.
