Power department has informed that it would be carrying out vegetation clearance of 66kV & 132kV transmission lines under Kohima transmission division from April 1- to May 2, 2025.
In a press release, Kohima transmission division executive engineer Namheu Khate Zelaing informed that during vegetation clearance, there would be total shutdown of power in some areas from 8am to 3pm daily to facilitate smooth execution of the activity.
According to the schedule, during shutdown period Sanis, Bhandari, Baghty & Merapani areas would be affected on April 1 & 2; Kiphire, Meluri and parts of Phek districts and LHEP from April 15-19 and Meluri and parts of Phek districts from April 21-23.
The department has, therefore, requested all consumers and public in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
