St. Paul School, Purana Bazar held its three-day annual sports meet 2025 from March 27 to 29.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 450 students and more than 20 teaching and non-teaching staff, transforming the school grounds into a lively arena of energy and excitement.
A wide range of events, including track and field competitions, team sports, and indoor games, saw spirited participation from students across all grades.
The festivities commenced with march past, where student contingents represented their respective houses in full regalia, showcasing commendable discipline, coordination, and house pride. The school band enhanced the celebratory atmosphere with their energetic performances.
The event was graced by the chief guest, chairman of Purana Bazar, Er. Hokhuvi Aye (Rtd). In his speech, he underscored the importance of sports in promoting holistic development, encouraging students to uphold the values of hard work, dedication, and perseverance not only in sports but in all walks of life. His words struck a chord with the young audience, motivating them to strive for excellence.
In his welcome address, the Headmaster of St. Paul School expressed immense joy at the overwhelming participation and highlighted the integral role sports play in the school’s curriculum. He emphasized the value of camaraderie, discipline, and healthy competition that such events instil in young minds.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Asst. Headmaster, Sri Nanda Sunar, who acknowledged the chief guest, the school administration, staff, students, and all contributors whose efforts made the event a grand success.
