Lomgol FC, Medziphema FC and United Falcon progressed to the next round fater winning their respective matches at the ongoing Frolic Cup at Medziphema ground.
In the morning match, Lomgol FC moved forward to the next round after defeating the Zohan FC with 3-0. The match was mostly one sided with the Zohan found wanting on different front.
The first goal for Lomgol FC came early in the 6th minute through Ngulminthang. The early goal was a setback as the Zohan failed to recover from conceding early.
The lead was further cemented when Ngulminthang followed with another goal in the 20th minute. Before the end of the first half, Jangmang sealed the match with another goal in the 31st minute. The second half witnessed some excellent play but with no goals.
The afternoon, Medziphema FC thrashed SFS Academy 9-2, witnessed a goal fest. Though a one-sided match, it witnessed a match where the senior players of Medziphema were seen encouraging the junior Academy boys as the match progress.
The goal scorer for Medziphema FC were Kenumdi (3, 22, 24 & 43 min), Manton (4 & 55 min), Toka (4 min), Wati (19 min) & Kekhrie (71 min). Chongminngam (32 min) while Shong (38 min) were the goal scorer for the SFC Academy.
In the evening match, United Falcon Club beat Dream Team Tsiepama 1-0. The match was equally poised with defenders of both side having their work cut out. The second half saw the United Falcon opening their score with a long range from Vimegolie Kire in the 42 minute. This was enough to secure their place in the quarter finals.
