The Nagaland Football Association (NFA) has expressed its contentment over the successful completion of the 1st Edition of the Nagaland Super League (NSL) 2024–25 season.
In a press release, NFA president K. Neibou Sekhose and joint secretary Chenonlo Woch acknowledged the Government of Nagaland, led by Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, for taking cognizance and extending unwavering support and patronage towards the league. They also expressed gratitude to the Youth Resources Department and its agencies, including TaFMA, for their active engagement, massive support, and assistance.
The association also lauded the All India Football Federation (AIFF), led by its president Kalyan Chaubey, for its consistent and enthusiastic support and commitment to uplifting football in Nagaland. It further commended the NSL governing body for leading from the front-not only shaping and structuring the league but also anchoring and ensuring its successful execution and meaningful conclusion.
The NFA expressed appreciation to the Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) team, under the leadership of secretary general Abu Metha, for being the driving force behind the NSL, ensuring its professional conduct and making it a grand sporting event.
The association also extended gratitude to all sponsors, partners, investors, and well-wishers for their overwhelming support and active participation. Special mention was made of all participating clubs for their commendable cooperation, dedication, and collaborative efforts; and all players, officials, fans, and other stakeholders for being the heart and soul of the league and its remarkable success.
The NFA further acknowledged the wider sporting fraternity, especially sister sports associations, district football associations, and the members and officials of various NSL committees, including match officials and management units for ensuring the smooth and orderly conduct of the league.
Additionally, the association expressed its deep appreciation to the fans and followers of the league for their active engagement and support; the event organizers and all other involved parties for their invaluable professional services; and the media fraternity for their committed efforts in amplifying the league’s visibility, reach, and popularity.
The Nagaland Football Association remains deeply grateful to all for their overwhelming support, partnership, and participation in making the league a historic and memorable event. This collective effort has furthered the association’s mission of promoting and developing football within the state and beyond.
