Zunheboto registered a solid 4-wicket win over Tseminyu in a low-scoring encounter at the Sovima Cricket Ground in the ongoing 5th Late G. Rio Memorial Men’s U19 Inter-District Cricket Tournament 2025 on Monday. The match saw an outstanding bowling display by Yeshika Zhimomi, who played a pivotal role in securing the win.
Having won the toss and elected to bat first, Tseminyu faced a disciplined Zunheboto bowling attack. They were bowled out for 79 runs in 32.2 overs. Sonyelo Kent was the lone bright spot in the innings, scoring 27 off 34 balls.
Zunheboto’s star of the innings was Yeshika Zhimomi, who delivered a devastating spell, picking up 5 wickets for just 16 runs in 9 overs, completely dismantling the Tseminyu batting line-up.
Chasing 80 for victory, Zunheboto made early progress but lost a few quick wickets along the way. Kohima register dominant 9-wicket victory over Tuensang
Kohima continued their strong run with a commanding 9-wicket win over Tuensang at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Chümoukedima. The match was over quickly as Kohima’s bowlers dismantled Tuensang’s batting lineup before comfortably chasing down the target.
Tuensang won the toss and opted to bat first but faced immediate trouble against Kohima’s relentless bowling attack. They were bundled out for just 49 runs in 14.5 overs, with Phololi the only batter reaching double digits, scoring 19 off 35 balls.
Kohima’s bowling was clinical and well-coordinated. Vizoletuo Zhale led the charge with 3 wickets for 9 runs in 5 overs, while Sangtsulen Tshunherii and Jenithung Ezung both picked up 3 wickets each for 12 runs, wrapping up the innings swiftly.
