The Ashipo Society, Chuchuyimlang, in collaboration with Media 24 Studio, has announced the 2nd Edition of the Ao Moatsü folk song online solo contest, inviting participants from across the Ao community to showcase their musical talents and celebrate the spirit of Moatsü.
The contest is open to all age groups with no age restrictions, and encourages contestants to compose original Ao folk songs based on the Moatsü theme. The songs must be performed in the Ao language and may include instrumental accompaniment. However, the organizers have specified that pre-recorded audio will not be accepted, emphasizing authenticity and live performance.
Free registration opens from April 15, and the final date for video submissions is April 26. Participants are required to send their performance videos via WhatsApp to the contact numbers provided: 7005649287 or 8729877877.
In a generous gesture, Media 24 Studio Dimapur will sponsor free audio recording for the participants, under the guidance of Sunep Lemtur. The winner of the contest will receive a cash prize of Rs. 10,000.
