A new music video titled “LONGJEMTI (Let’s Unite)”, created by renowned Naga artists Imna Yaden and Lenen Jamir, was officially launched on April 27 by former Chief Minister of Nagaland and former Governor of several Indian states Dr. S.C. Jamir.
The special event took place in Chumukedima, where Dr. Jamir praised the artists for their exceptional contribution to society through their music.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Jamir highlighted the significance of art in bringing communities together, fostering unity, and instilling cultural pride. He commended both Imna Yaden and Lenen Jamir for using their platform to showcase Naga culture and urged them to continue exploring their cultural roots to help preserve and promote Nagaland’s rich heritage.
“LONGJEMTI,” which translates to “Let’s Unite,” serves as a powerful anthem calling for peace, solidarity, and cultural pride. The song blends soulful melodies with traditional and contemporary elements, resonating with listeners from all walks of life.
The collaboration between Imna Yaden and Lenen Jamir marks a new era for Naga musicians, who are increasingly using their art not only to entertain but also to deliver social messages and promote cultural preservation. The music video is now available on all major streaming platforms.
