Native village tour, an initiative of Zeliangrong Students’ Union (ZLSU) under the theme, “Uniting Roots, Igniting Future” was carried out from April 8 to 25, 2025. The tour was undertaken to understand the ground realities of local schools in the village and to strengthen the community and cultural bonds.
During the tour, the ZLSUN team convened a crucial meeting to discuss various organizational objectives and strategies. The session focused on education, student welfare, and community development, with leaders emphasizing the need for proactive engagement.
Key discussions included strengthening academic support systems, advocating for student rights, and promoting cultural preservation within the Zeliangrong community. Attendees underscored the importance of collaboration between students, educators, and community leaders to address challenges effectively.
Resolutions were adopted to enhance leadership training, ensure better institutional representation, and foster unity among students. The ZLSU reaffirmed its commitment to empowering youth through education and civic participation.
Meanwhile, ZLSUN informed that they were unable to visit Nkio, Lalong and Nzauna villages due to adverse road conditions, while Poilwa and Besuimpiu villages due to unavoidable circumstances.
