To tackle the growing plastic pollution crisis, various organizations have come together to launch a large-scale cleanup initiative in Dimapur, aligning with this year’s World Environment Day theme, “End Plastic Pollution.”
This year, several environmental organizations, including Living for Environment, YouthNet, Circle, Green Guard, and Kuda Waste Solutions, will launch a major cleanup campaign in Dimapur on May 29, focusing on heavily polluted areas such as the State Stadium and Railway Station.
The initiative aims to mobilize at least 1,200 volunteers from the community, reinforcing public participation in environmental conservation efforts.
Organizers have urged residents to support the campaign by spreading awareness and encouraging volunteer participation. Residents and organizations willing to contribute to the movement are encouraged to join hands in making Dimapur a cleaner and greener city.
