The Sports and Scripture Engagement (SSE) Training Seminar was held from May 2 to 4, at the AGBCN Mission Centre, Singrijan. The seminar brought together 80 delegates from 25 churches and fellowships under AGBCN, aiming to empower them with the skills needed to effectively combine sports ministry with scripture engagement.

The seminar featured Director of Gethemgo Sports International, Dr. Viposa, as the resource person, with support from Kupu Chopy. Through a combination of theoretical sessions, interactive discussions, and practical activities, participants were trained to implement sports-based evangelism and discipleship initiatives within their local church contexts.

The program also included a range of activities designed to encourage fellowship and biblical learning, such as a Bible Quiz, Bible Spelling Bee, and unique extracurricular sessions including Zumba prayer gatherings and Futsal competitions.

During the devotional service on the final day, keynote speaker Dr. Viposa urged the youth to keep God at the center of their lives and to integrate their faith with sports and everyday living. In his closing remarks, youth secretary Shishir Lama expressed his gratitude to Dr. Viposa, his team, and all participating churches for their commitment and active engagement.

He also encouraged the youth to begin preparing for the Inter-Church Tournament scheduled for next year, in which AGBCN will be participating. Aspiring football players were invited to submit their names for upcoming selection trials to form the official AGBCN Football Team.
