An unidentified male body was discovered near the Dhansiri River, close to Circuit House Colony, Walford, Dimapur, on Sunday morning. According to Dy. Commissioner of Police (Crime)/ PRO, the East Police Station received telephonic information regarding the case at approximately 10:59 AM from the Dimapur Police Commissionerate Control Room.
Upon receiving the report, a police team promptly reached the location and conducted an inquest examination. No visible external injuries were found on the deceased, and authorities have ruled out foul play at this stage. Preliminary findings suggest drowning as the likely cause of death.
Following necessary legal formalities, the body was transferred to the District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
