The Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) installed Rev. Temsü Jamir as its eighth Executive Secretary in a solemn ceremony held at Impur on Friday. The event was attended by representatives from various Ao Baptist Churches and fellowships.
ABAM informed that the installation was officiated by president of ABAM, Rev. Ayutemjen, who formally handed over the responsibilities of the Executive Secretary to Rev. Temsü Jamir.
Expressing his gratitude, Rev. Temsü Jamir shared his joy in assuming the new role and affirmed his reliance on God for guidance in his leadership journey. He also sought prayers from the community as he undertakes his responsibilities.
Rev. Jamir hails from Chuchuyimlang village and is married to S. Amenla Lkr. The couple is blessed with two daughters. He has been actively involved in various ministries, with his most recent tenure as Pastor at Aoyimti Baptist Church. His contributions to church initiatives have been significant, and the community looks forward to his leadership at ABAM.
As part of the installation, former pastor of Khensa Baptist Church, Rev. K. Temjen Longchar, delivered a sermon based on Matthew 22:31 and the following verses. He emphasized the importance of serving God with integrity, demonstrating love for all, and standing firm in righteousness. He extended his best wishes to Rev. Jamir, hoping for great success in his ministry.
ABAM expressed its appreciation to Secretary of Church & Mission, Rev. L. Yapang Mollier, for diligently leading as Acting Executive Secretary since March 2025. His leadership ensured the smooth continuation of ABAM’s ministry without disruption.
ABAM extended gratitude to Aoyimti Baptist Church for releasing Rev. Jamir to fulfil ABAM’s leadership need, acknowledging the church’s commitment to shared values and spiritual service. The organization also thanked Chuchuyimlang village for its unwavering dedication to nurturing selfless leaders.
