Yimkhiung Tribal Council (YTC) has vehemently condemned the alleged barbaric and suspected murder of late Yansomong Yimkhiung, resident of Sangphur village under Shamator district, whose was found dead in Mariani-Titabor railway track under mysterious circumstances.
In a press release, YTC executive chairman Makezho and press & information secretary R.Wongchum said that late Yansomong left for Mariani on May 5, 2025, from Mokokchung at 2pm for training. YTC said he was an employee of Vodafone Telecom Company.
The council further informed that he was dropped till Amguri Train Station by two companions (Er. Mujano and driver Neojikhiung) at around 5pm the same day for onward journey to Guwahati for training.
However, YTC said his body was found dead at Mariani-Titabor railway track under mysterious circumstances May 8, 2025. In this regard, YTC has demand that the competent law enforcement agencies investigate the reason leading to his death.
YTC also demanded that responsible authorities should leave no stone unturned in delivering the befitting justice. It demanded “arrest of culprits involved in the heinous crime leading to the loss of life.”
