Nagaland secures 4 Medals in Sepaktakraw at Khelo India Youth Games

The Nagaland Sepaktakraw teams have brought pride to the state with a remarkable performance at the ongoing Khelo India Youth Games 2025, held in Patna, Bihar from May 4 – 15. The contingent secured a total of four medals, comprising 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 2 Bronze.

The Nagaland Women’s Sepaktakraw team clinched the Gold medal in the Double Event, while the Men’s team won a Silver medal in the Regu Event. Additionally, the Men’s Quad Team and the Men’s Team Event each earned a Bronze medal.

The Nagaland Sepaktakraw contingent consists of 18 players, supported by 2 coaches, 1 physiotherapist, and 1 psychologist. The team was led by Holshe Khrieo and Puleno Neikha.

In recognition of the athletes’ achievements, a reception program is being jointly organized by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland, and the Nagaland Sepaktakraw Association to welcome and honor the team upon their return.
