Nagaland Foothill Road Construction Committee (NFHRCC) has reiterated its stand on 2013 original alignments with exception to minor need-based alteration in line with the local context.

NFHRCC through its media cell informed that the committee reiterated its stand during a consultative meeting with the Lotha Hoho (LH) on May 15, 2025 at Merapani village council hall.

The committee expressed gratitude to LH team led by its chairman Er. Mhondamo Ovung for the consultative programme and “its logical and transparent stand firmly on the original alignments inclusively.”

Meanwhile, NFHRCC informed that committee members inspected the bridge construction site at three locations at Baghty division. It said two bridges at River Sungkhaju and Jungju, undertaken by M/S P Mha -Tum & Co and Quicker Enterprise respectively, were doing up to the expectation.

However, the committee expressed dissatisfaction with slow progress at River Tsumang undertaken by M/S Pele Khezhie [NCSU]. The committee said it advised the firm to expedite the work as per the DPR and timeline given.

The committee informed that it also carried out work dedication and site inspection on May 13, 2025 at Rengmapani village foothills connectivity road. “A late starter due to certain inevitable circumstances, undertaken by M/S T. Albert Angami & Co the progress of the work is extremely satisfactory,” it stated. The committee has also welcomed the indigenous Nagaland Karbi Community to the NFHRCC fraternity.
