ATMA, Mon conducted training and demonstration on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and the uses and application of Bio-fertilizers on May 14 at Chen block, Mon with BTM, Z. Nchumthung Shitirie and ATM, Chuba Imsong as the resource person.
The farmers were trained on the steps and the advantages of IPM that encompasses enhanced crop yields, reduction in the uses of pesticides and insecticides ensuring minimal damage to the environment and improved environmental sustainability. The Bio-fertilizers along with kharif seeds were distributed to the farmers.
