NWA team leaves for Asian Belt Wrestling

15 wrestlers from the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) left for Delhi to take part in the forthcoming Asian Belt Wrestling Alysh Championship on Monday. The 15-squad member will represent Indian contingent during the championship to be held in Delhi from May 21 to 26.


In a press release issued by NWA joint secretary Kuzhovesa Soho informed that the team after having 6 days of intensive coaching camp at IG Stadium is all set to leave Dimapur by 2 AM morning on May 20 and is expected to reach Delhi by 10.30. am by May 21.


The NWA officials along with UWW nominated referee will join them on May 21 in Delhi.
A short send-off service was held on Monday at IG Stadium, where NWA information secretary, Er. Seyielhouvi Nagi chaired the programme and NWA president Vivolie Kezo and Youth Resources & Sports Joint Director Jakedovo Chase addressed the wrestlers.


Angami Sports Association president Rokovikho Chale also exhorted the wrestlers. Pastor Peraciezie Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Kevichalie Metha invoked blessing prayer for the team.
The NWA conveyed gratitude to the CBCK, CWA, ASA, DYRS, Kikruma Gospel Team, Kohima for the financial, moral and prayer support towards the NWA team. The NWA appealed the entire Nagas to uphold the team in their humble prayer.
