DIMAPUR: Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) conducted a one-day convergence camp at Chukitong on May 20, 2025, to improve access to government services.
Over 160 beneficiaries participated, along with officials from various departments. The camp aimed to enhance coordination among departments and provide direct access to government schemes and services.
Block Development Officer Dr. Ezao Ezung delivered the keynote address, stressing the importance of such initiatives in linking citizens with government services. He highlighted the PRI-CBO Convergence Project, which promotes collaboration between Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) for better governance. Dr. Ezung also encouraged Self Help Groups (SHGs) to work toward self-sufficiency.
Several departments provided services at the camp, including Rural Development, District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Food & Civil Supplies, Health & Family Welfare, Veterinary Department, Ujjwala Scheme Desk, Aadhaar Services, Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY), and Moneywise Financial Literacy Program.
Public services offered included ration card updates, Aadhaar enrollments, health card distribution, MGNREGA job card corrections, pension registrations, insurance assistance, health check-ups, Ujjwala Gas Connection applications, and veterinary consultations.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Nzanbeni AC-SISD NSRLM, who praised the efforts of all departments and emphasized the importance of ongoing cooperation for effective and transparent public service delivery.
