RPO organises seminar on human resource dept

A one day seminar on human resource development under the theme “Better life” was conducted by Razeba Public Organisation on November 3 at RPO Hall. The seminar saw participation of members from four village councils, VDBs, youth leaders, student leaders, women leaders, church leaders and intellectuals of Razeba area.
In the seminar, resolutions were passed for the four villages of the area as well as neighbouring villages.

It resolved to completely ban hunting, jungle burning, fishing etc., and that materials will be seized and serious action imposed against defaulters; the house decided to ban use of chemicals as fertilizers for farming and said anyone found using chemicals will be banned from farming in the community land; with regard to reservation of forest right from Vürivu to Kapomodzü range right to V-üchakra and to Chokholo stretching about 30 kilometres, the organization said anyone found logging to be marketed outside Razeba area will be seized and fined heavily.

All cattle owners have been asked to confine their cattle at the designated places allotted by the village council in order to encourage double cropping in the area, otherwise the organization said action will be taken on any cattle found loitering.

In the seminar, Deo Nukhu, MLA and advisor, new and renewable energy, science and technology, art and culture gave the exhortation, while Sanyi Dukru, president RPO delivered the keynote address.

The resource persons, Zavise Rume, project co-ordinator, SCERT, Nagaland, Sarhunyi Dukru, agriculture officer, Chozuba, department of agriculture, Kekhriezavi Lea, Asst. Geologist, Department of Geology and Mining, R Rose Dukru, entrepreneur and farmer spoke on “Benefits of MGNREGA and its Implementation”, “Sustainable Agriculture”, “Communities’ role in education” and “Caring for Environment” respectively.

A combined Sunday service was held with Vikuo Rhi, youth secretary, NBCC as the main speaker for all the Christian denominations of the four villages of the area to build unity and love.
