Huge consignment of IMFL was destroyed at Zunheboto town in the presence of the general public. The contraband was seized by the NSCN (I-M) under the command of CAO NSCN (I-M) Heshito Sumi and later handed over to STH, Zunheboto for disposal.
The destruction of the seized items were initiated by STH, Zunheboto unit in the presence of the public, Zunheboto GB’s Association, CAO NSCN(I-M), Zunheboto Range Students’ Union, elders & DPRO staff.
Zhehoto Z Muru, chairman Zunheboto G.B’s association while addressing the gathering, lauded the CAO NSCN (I-M) for his efforts in seizing the banned consignment. Muru also highlighted the plight of drug and alcohol abuse which have brought “disgrace, hatred and disunity in households, Sumi community and the Naga society”.
He encouraged all the factions to fight against all social evils instead of waging war against one another. President ZRSU, Khuketo Yepthomi and several other Sumi Totimi Hohoofficials spoke on the occasion. The programme was chaired by Tokhuli Sumi.
